Fetal Development: Lack of proper nutrition and health care will negatively effect the baby’s growth and development.

Birth Weight Issues: Bad maternal health will contribute to a unhealthy birth weight, increasing the risk of neonatal complications.

Increased Complications: Unhealthy habits will increase the risk of pregnancy complications such as gestational diabetes and preeclampsia.

Mental Well-being: Physical health is closely linked to mental health, lack of support from family and friends might cause stress and anxiety during pregnancy.

/How is sakhi different? (Features of the product)

IDEATION

The idea generates from the nostalgic community game of hopscotch played by people all around India.

The concept

Function & Features

Connecting pregnant women in rural areas with their ASHA workers or other emergency resources via call in case of emergencies that may arise at inconvenient times.

There will be a QR code dedicated to connect to emergency resources. Once scanned, will directly give a call to the community's ASHA worker.

The QR code will be in a sticker format so that each community can easily connect with their respective emergency providers.

Any emergency information provided will always be vetted by the doctors.

The game will provide information regarding the three main categories:

1. Food

2. Medicine

3. Physical activity

Under each month there are 5 immediate information for each category, from critical to important.

Information is provided both in the form of audio and visuals. The product also provide visual and auditory feedbacks when selecting different months and categories.

There are two figurines representing mother and their partner. The product senses the figurine and information provided will be customized accordingly.

The pregnancy period is divided within the hopscotch layout of the game as 9 months. It is further grouped under 3 trimesters.

Sakhi is be a board game that can be played by both the mother and their partner which will provide information about pregnancy related healthcare.
